- For a subtle frame, 2 to 4 percent of the photo's shorter side. For a bold, gallery look, 8 to 15 percent. The width here is a percentage rather than pixels, so the same setting looks the same on a small phone photo and a large camera photo. The exact size in pixels is shown under the preview.
- Can I add rounded corners?
- Yes. Rounded corners rounds the photo inside the border. Tick Round the outside corners too and the whole image gets rounded corners, with the area outside them transparent; it is then saved as a PNG, since JPG cannot hold transparency.
- What is the difference between this and the canvas resizer?
- The canvas resizer adds plain space around a picture to an exact size in pixels, which is the right tool for a document or a print layout. This one is for borders that look like something: blurred, Polaroid, mat, rounded, shadowed, and colors picked from the photo.
