Discord Banner Size and Resizer
NewDiscord has two banners: a profile banner at 680 x 240 pixels and a server banner at 960 x 540. Drop in an image to resize it to either, with your avatar's position marked so it does not cover anything important.

How it works
- Drop in an image. Both banners are ticked; untick the one you do not need.
- Drag and zoom each one to frame it. They are different shapes, so each keeps its own framing.
- On the profile banner, keep faces and text clear of the lower left, where your avatar sits.
- Add a server icon or profile picture from the same image if you like.
- Download, then upload in Discord's profile or server settings.

Frequently asked questions
- What size is a Discord banner?
- The profile banner is 680 x 240 pixels (Discord accepts 600 x 240 as a minimum). The server banner is 960 x 540, a 16:9 image. Both can be up to 10 MB, and both can be animated GIFs with the right subscription or boost level.
- Do I need Nitro for a Discord banner?
- For a profile banner, yes: it is a Nitro feature. A server banner needs the server to reach boost level 2 instead, and nobody needs Nitro personally for that. You can make and save either banner here without an account anywhere.
- Why is part of my profile banner hidden?
- Your profile picture sits over the lower left of the banner, so anything placed there is covered. The dashed box in the preview shows the area that stays clear. Keep text and faces inside it.
- What size is a Discord server icon?
- Upload at least 512 x 512 pixels. It is shown as a circle, so keep the important part in the middle; tick Server icon to make one from the same image.
- Should I use PNG or JPG?
- PNG, which is what these are set to. Discord banners are small, so the file stays well under the limit, and PNG keeps text and flat artwork sharp. Choose JPG only for a large, busy photo.
- Is my image uploaded?
- No. The resizing happens in your browser, so the image never leaves your device.
