Terms of Service

Short, because this site does very little on your behalf.

Last updated 31 July 2026

Using the site

Free Image Lab provides browser-based image tools at no cost. You may use them for anything lawful, personal or commercial, without asking us and without attributing us.

Using the tools does not require an account. If optional accounts are added later, these terms will be updated to cover them.

Your files stay yours

We claim no rights over anything you process here — and could not in any practical sense, because your files are never sent to us. Whatever you put in and whatever comes out remains entirely yours.

You are responsible for having the right to use the images you process. We have no way of knowing what you are working on and no way of checking.

No warranty

The tools are provided as they are, without guarantee that they will work correctly, produce any particular result, or be available at a given moment. They are tested and cared for, but they are free, and we cannot promise they are fit for a specific purpose.

Keep your originals

Some operations discard information permanently. Compression throws away image data, and removing metadata deletes it for good. Because your files never reach us, we have no copy and cannot recover anything — always work from a duplicate when the original matters.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site, including lost or damaged files, lost work, or lost income.

Acceptable use

Do not use this site to break the law, to infringe someone else’s rights, or to attack the site itself — for example by attempting to disrupt it for other people.

The tools handle batches by design, so processing many files at once is expected and fine. What is not permitted is automated scraping of the site or scripted abuse of it.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising. Adverts are supplied by third parties and we do not endorse what they show. If an advert ever appears to interfere with a tool, please tell us — that is a bug on our side and we want to fix it.

Changes

These terms may change as the site grows, particularly if optional accounts are added. The date at the top shows when they last did.

Contact

Questions about these terms can go to [email protected].

Frequently asked questions

Can I use these tools for commercial work?
Yes. Personal or commercial, with no attribution required and nothing to ask permission for. The tools are free to use for any lawful purpose.
Do you claim any rights over the images I process?
No, and we could not in any practical sense — your files are never sent to us. Whatever you put in and whatever comes out remains entirely yours.
Can I recover a file I processed by mistake?
Not through us. Because your images are never uploaded, we have no copy of anything you have done and no way to retrieve it. Some operations discard information permanently, so always work from a copy when the original matters.
Can I use these tools automatically or in bulk?
The tools themselves handle batches — drop as many files as you like and download the results as a ZIP. What is not permitted is automated scraping of the site or scripted abuse. The tools are for people.
