- How do I make a logo white?
- Drop the logo in and press White. Every visible part becomes white and the background stays transparent, so it sits on any dark color without a box around it. Switch the backdrop to black to see it, because a white logo on a white page looks like nothing at all.
- Does it keep the transparent background?
- Yes. Only the color of the visible pixels changes, and the transparency is copied through untouched, including the soft, partly transparent pixels around curved edges. That is what keeps the result looking sharp rather than jagged. Save as PNG or WebP, since a JPG cannot hold transparency.
- My logo has a white background, not a transparent one. What happens?
- Filling it solid would give you a rectangle of color, so the tool says so when it sees no transparency. Clear the background first with the white background remover, then come back. For a logo on plain white that takes one step.
- What is the difference between a flat color and keeping the shading?
- One flat color makes every visible pixel the same color, which turns the logo into a clean silhouette. That is what you want for a white or black version. Keeping the shading maps the artwork's light and dark onto the new color instead, so a logo with gradients or a 3D look keeps its depth. On a flat one-color logo the two look nearly identical.
- Can I use my brand's exact color?
- Yes. Type the hex code, or use the color picker. The finished file is named after the color, so logo-0077ff.png and logo-white.png sit side by side in a folder and you can tell them apart.
- Can I recolor an SVG this way?
- You can drop one in, but it comes back as a PNG at the size it was drawn, not as an SVG. If you need the logo to stay a vector, edit the fill color in the SVG file itself, which is plain text, or in a vector editor.
- Is my logo uploaded?
- No. The recoloring happens in your own browser, so the file never leaves your device, which matters when the logo belongs to a client and is not public yet.
